ALFAFUELS AND SUSTEPS JOINT WEBINAR ON SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUELS

On December 16, 2025, the ALFAFUELS and SUSTEPS successfully hosted a joint webinar focused on key challenges and opportunities for Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). The event took place online and brought together experts, stakeholders and project partners to exchange views on technology development, market uptake and policy frameworks.

Attendance figures were very positive, with more than 60 participants joining the webinar live, reflecting strong interest from the aviation, research and innovation communities. The high level of engagement demonstrated the relevance of SAF and CO₂-based fuels in the context of Europe’s decarbonisation goals.

The webinar proved to be a highly enriching experience, fostering constructive discussion and knowledge sharing between both projects. It reinforced the value of collaboration between EU-funded initiatives to accelerate the deployment of sustainable solutions for the aviation sector.

Last but not least, both projects took the opportunity to disseminate the SUSTAFUELS Cluster, presenting the recent video developed in collaboration with the Horizon Results Booster.
